John Matthew “Matt” Farmer, 49, of 146 Hwy. 381, Hamlet, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at his residence.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 26, at Harrington Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service beginning in the Chapel at 7 p.m.
At other times the family will receive friends at the home.
Mr. Farmer was born Oct. 16, 1962, in Richmond County, son of Marion M. Farmer and Sarah Hamilton Farmer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion M. Farmer; and a sister, Sarah Kay Farmer.
Survivors include his mother, Sarah Hamilton Farmer of the home; daughters, Susannah Nicole Bronson of Savannah, Ga., and Natasha Danielle Weatherford of Chesterfield, S.C.; son, Russell Jeremiah Farmer of the home; brothers, Andy and Lee Farmer, both of Hamlet; sister, Ann Goodwin of Hamlet; and four grandchildren.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Farmer family.
