Robert Gene “Shake” McCollum, 61, died on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A funeral will be held Saturday, June 23, at 1 p.m. at Aaron Temple UMC in Bennettsville, S.C. Rev. Shawn Weeks is the pastor and Rev. Christine Madison is the Eulogist. Burial will follow at Bennet-Quick Cemetery in Bennettsville, S.C., with Military Rites.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McCollum of Bennettsville, S.C.; a daughter, LaTrenda Short of Wallace, S.C.; three sisters, Myra Thomas and Mary Purvis, both of Bennettsville, S.C., and Vivian Hancock of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren.
