Jennifer Ellen Robbins and Eugene Bertram (Mac) McLaurin III, both of Charlotte, were united in marriage on April 28, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Rockingham. The Reverend Dwight Williams officiated.

Jennifer is the daughter of Sara Robbins of Rockingham and Mike and April Robbins of Marston. She is the granddaughter of Martha Robbins and the late Ray Robbins Sr. of Marston and Sara Gazoo and the late Ed Gazoo of Rockingham.

The bride graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in May 2011 where she received an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She is currently employed as a Dental Hygienist at an office in Charlotte. She will be attending Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., in the fall.

Mac is the son of Gene and Donna McLaurin of Rockingham. He is the grandson of Lou Presler of Laurinburg, Jack Presler of Pinehurst, the late Joe McLaurin of Rockingham, and Harry and Betty Overby of Goldsboro.

The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in December 2011 where he received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology. He will be pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in Goodyear, Ariz., in the fall.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.

She wore a strapless Maggie Soterro gown of diamond white. The full A-line gown featured a soft sweetheart neckline and corset closure. Embellished lace softly accented the bustline and billowing bustles that swept across the gathered Bordeaux Taffeta skirt that fell into a chapel length train. The bride wore a fingertip length veil with a delicate pearl hair piece. Her bouquet consisted of white carnations tied with satin ribbon and accented with pearls.

The maid of honor was Joanna Eudy of Midland. Bridesmaids included Hannah Richardson, sister of the bride, of Ellerbe, Tiffany Bass of Hamlet, Samantha Burgess of Mooresville, Catherine White of Henderson, and Anna McLaurin of Rockingham. The bridesmaids were dressed alike in Tiffany Blue V-neck cocktail length gowns. The gowns featured a bow around the waist. They each carried a bouquet of white carnations tied with satin ribbon.

The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen included Jordan Davis of Rockingham, Kyle Davis of Rockingham, Joel Padgett of Charlotte, David Poston of Rockingham, and John Haywood of Hamlet.

Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist, Sean McDonald and violinist, Emily Braun. Program attendants were Addison Hodges and Stephen Garlick. Presiding over the guest registry were Sherri Boyle and Andrew McLester. Carol Wilbun directed the wedding.

The reception was held at the National Golf Club in Pinehurst. Guests enjoyed a beautiful candlelit dinner along with dancing.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Liberty Place in Rockingham.

After the reception, the couple left for their honeymoon in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos for a week-long stay.

The couple will reside in Goodyear, Arizona.
