Survivors: wife, Bishop Geraldine Newton Bailey of the home; son, James “Jimmy” Newton (Ernestine) of Hamlet; daughters, Bishop Shirdine B. Dobbin, Mattie Bailey Williams (Sam), Minister Jackie Bailey Lawrence, Elder Gloria Bailey Jenkins, Deacon Eddie Bailey Holden (William) all of Raleigh and Deacon Joyce Bailey Stephens of Cary; brother, Milton Bailey (Josephine) of Raleigh; sisters, Annie P. Willis (Rufus) of Detroit, MI, Irene B. Thomas (Robert) of Raleigh, Dr. Louise Nichols (Dr. Harold) of Oxford, PA, Loraine B.
