Mrs. Margaret Lee Cable Harris, 88, of 105 Hamilton Street, Hamlet, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Morrison Manor, Laurinburg.
She was born April 19, 1924, in High Point, NC, daughter of Maggie Bell Cable and Dolphus Morene Cable.
Mrs. Harris was a member of Fellowship United Methodist Church, Hamlet and a faithful volunteer at Sandhills Regional Medical Center, Hamlet, for many years.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Fellowship United Methodist Church, from 1:00-2:00 pm with the Funeral starting at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tony Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
At other times the family will receive friends at home of her grandson, Chris Harris, 211 Rosedale Lane, Hamlet.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Mack W. Harris; daughters, Janice Johnson and Sarah Smith; twelve brothers and sisters; and grandchildren, Courtney Ryan Johnson and Michael Brandon Harris.
Survivors include her daughter, Trudy Edwards of Rockingham; sons, Michael W. Harris & wife Nancy of Wilmington, Vann T. Harris & wife Juanita of Hamlet and Phillip M. Harris of New York; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
