Audrey Faye Dawkins, 75, of 805 Sycamore Lane, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 17, at Sweet Haven Church officiated by Rev. Mitchell Roller. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 705 S. Caroline St., Rockingham, and other times at the home on Sycamore Lane.

Dawkins was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Richmond County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reid and Beulah Howell Webb and a son, Larry Dawkins. She was a homemaker and had worked in local textiles and at Journal Stationary prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Dawkins, of the home, a daughter, Glenda Faye Rogers and husband Steve of Rockingham, sisters: Carol Fugate, Doris Goodwin and Cynthia Campbell all of Rockingham. Also surviving are three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
