Richmond Community College Board of Trustee Chairman Hugh Lee (second from right) was honored Friday with a luncheon at RCC where he was presented the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, signed by Governor Beverly Purdue, and resolutions passed by the N.C. House and Senate introduced by N.C. Representative Ken Goodman and N.C. Senator Bill Purcell. The resolutions recognized his community service as RCC board chairman since 1964, his 50 plus years of practicing law, his military service in World War II and the Korean War, and his legislative service as a member of the N.C. House. Making the presentations were former N.C. Representative Doug Yongue, RCC President Dale McInnis, and N.C. Senator Bill Purcell.
