A Rockingham man has been arrested in connection with the theft of property from a building on 6th Street, Hannah Pickett, Rockingham, said Capt. J. K. Glidewell, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Samuel Prince Bullard, 45, Central Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on felony charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense.
His bond was set at $10,000.
On Jan. 11, a resident on 6th Street told deputies a circular saw valued at $140 was stolen from a building on his property.
The saw was recovered by sheriff’s detectives from a pawn shop.

n On Northside Drive, Rockingham, someone struck a mailbox with a baseball bat causing $15 damage.
n At a house on 2nd Street, Safie, Rockingham, someone did $275 damage to furnishings.
n On Cognac Road, Rockingham, a resident was cut by a suspect with a box cutter.
n A Rockingham area man told deputies someone had opened a credit card account in his name.
n A lawnmower valued at $300 was stolen from a storage building at a residence on 3rd Street, Ellerbe, causing $10 damage to a lock.
n At a business on U.S. 220 Business, Ellerbe, someone stole a $12,000 Bobcat machine on a $1,500 trailer.
n Someone broke a door on a house on Maner Road, Rockingham, causing $250 damage.

Incidents reported to Rockingham Police Department include:
n Chad Dewayne Giddens, 21, Crawford Road, Ellerbe, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle and driving while license revoked. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
n Michael Capadeo Pitts, 18, Leak Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating a domestic violence order. He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.
n Nicholas Adam Whittington, 19, Trent Street, Rockingham, was arrested on felony charges of breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering, and misdemeanor injury to real property. Bond was set at $5,000.
n Bryan Wade Smith, 19, Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of second-degree trespass and communicating threats. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
n Antonio Lamont Brewington, 25, Hummingbird Lane, Rockingham, was arrested on felony charges of larceny of controlled substances from a person and possession of stolen goods, and misdemeanor assault on a female. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
n A ring valued at $600 was stolen from a house on Pickett Street, Rockingham.
n A Rockingham resident said a bank card was stolen and someone used it to make $156.64 worth of charges.

Incidents reported to the Hamlet Police Department include:
n Joseph Jammal Cox, 20, Quail Hollow, Hamlet, was arrested on two counts of injury to personal property. Bond was set at $500.
n Crystal Taylor, 17, Wellington Street, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of making a harassing telephone call. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
n Melissa A. Anthony, 37, McKinnon Drive, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting. Bond was set at $300.
n A store on West Hamlet Avenue, Hamlet, reported the theft of three air fresheners valued at $4 each. They were recovered.
n Someone scratched letters on the rear bumper of a vehicle parked at a lot on Gin Mill Road, Hamlet, causing $500 damage.
