Bobbie Jacqueline Poston Wix, 71, of 804 S. Long Drive, Rockingham, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Laurinburg, with Rev. Ben Horton officiating. Burial will follow.

Mrs. Wix was born April 2, 1941, in Chesterfield County, S.C., daughter of Henry James Poston and Amy Ester Boone Poston. She was a member of West Rockingham United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her late husband, Charles Edward Wix.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin Quick of Raleigh; brothers, Julius Poston of Baltimore, Md., and Gene Poston of Rockingham; sisters, Novella Kibler of Baltimore, Md., Margie Cox of Ellerbe, Peggy Ann Forbis of Rockingham, Penny Cole of Morehead City and Carolyn Ruth Hall of South Carolina; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
