Last week the town of Dobbins Heights called for an emergency council meeting on June 1 at 9 a.m.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss a personnel matter, according to town clerk Mary Magee.

Robert Ingram has been filling in temporarily as a maintenance worker for the town, and council met to discuss extending his time.

It was agreed to keep Ingram in the position for the time being. Gracie Jackson, Angeline David and Thomas White were present at the meeting.

He is filling the position left vacant by James Jones, who resigned, according to Magee.

The position is being advertised and council is reviewing applications.
