Over the weekend, U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell (NC-08) surveyed homes in Rockingham affected by last week’s tornado and damaging weather system.

Kissell met with Rockingham resident Matt Norris of the Wadesboro Police Department and surveyed the damage done to his home and property by the F-1 tornado, which moved through the county. Kissell was joined by Richmond County Sheriff James Clemmons Jr. to survey the damage and meet with affected families.

“All who were affected by this storm have been in my thoughts and prayers, and I’m glad to have the opportunity to see the damage firsthand as our office assists families beginning to assess and rebuild,” said Kissell. “We’ll do everything we can to work with Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin and local agencies to help these families rebuild and get back on their feet.”

Any constituents seeking assistance through Kissell’s office should contact his Rockingham office at 910-997-2070, or visit them at 230 E. Franklin Street.
