On May 12, 2012, Reverend Bula C. Legrand of Rockingham earned a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in New Testament Studies from Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury.
She has previously earned a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Shaw University in Raleigh.
Rev. Legrand is the daughter of the late Robert L. Covington and Hattie C. Brower. She is married to Michael P. Legrand and they have three children, Tammy, Airel, and Christina, and four grandchildren.
Rev. Legrand is Pastor of New Bethel AMEZ Church in Hamlet.
