Megan Lee McLain of Winston Salem, formerly of Thomasville, and Benjamin Keith Croke of Winston Salem, formerly of Rockingham, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of East Davidson High School and a 2010 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Megan plans to begin at Gardner Webb University in Fall 2012 to earn her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed as a first grade teacher at Thomasville Primary School. Megan is the daughter of Bill and Cindy McLain of Thomasville, and the granddaughter of Nancy McLain and David and Glenda Turner, all of Thomasville.

The groom-elect is a 2005 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and a 2010 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business Administration. He is also a 2006 graduate of Lackland Air Force Academy in San Antonio, Texas. He is now a veteran who served six years with the Air Force Reserves. Ben is employed with the Winston Salem Police Department. He is the son of James Keith Croke of Ellerbe and Crystal Turnage Crouch of Rockingham. He is the grandson of Thomas M. Turnage of Snow Hill.

A 4 p.m. wedding is planned for June 23, 2012, in Thomasville.
