Girls Can! participants recently raised $536 from their hot dog sale and silent auction to go towards their, “Girls Day Out Trip.” The Girls Can! program was selected by the Richmond Community College as one of the human service projects. $100 additional dollars were awarded for the program’s efforts. On June 12, 2012, the participants of Girls Can! will be visiting several colleges and shopping at Four Seasons Mall while in Greensboro. The participants would like to send a special thanks to all the local restaurants that helped with the hot dog sale. Leak Street Alumni, Richmond Community College, The Department of Social Services, Richmond County Health Department, and various Richmond County government departments and Ms. Tanasha B. Goins for helping them tremendously.
