Betty Louise Stoodley Diggs, 82, passed away March 25, 2012.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, March 28 at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Robert H. Carpenter officiating.

Betty was born in Skowhegan, Maine, the daughter of the late Louise Cross Stoodley and Walter A. Stoodley. She retired as a line technician for General Electric.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Mason Diggs Sr.; sons, David and Walter Diggs; and sister, Patricia A. S. Hayden.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia D. Crowder of Suffolk, Va.; sons, Robert M. Diggs Jr. of New Hill, Bruce A. Diggs and Larry Wayne Diggs, both of Suffolk, Va.; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Martha S. Keene of Skowhegan, Maine, and brother, George Stoodley of Carbondale, Ill.
