On May 12, 2012, National Train Day will be celebrated across the United States.
In honor of this day, the Hamlet Historic Depot and Museum is holding its first NTD Photo Contest.
Rules:
To enter, contestants may upload their photos to the Depot’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Hamlet.Historic.Depot. If more than one photo is entered, contestants may create an album.
Contestants may enter as many photos and as often as they would like between May 7 through midnight Sunday, May 13.
On individual entries, be sure to caption the photo “Hamlet Depot NTD Photo Contest.” If you’re entering more than one photo, label your album “Hamlet Depot NTD Photo Contest.” Each photo entered must include the date the photo was taken, the location where the photo was taken and the contestant’s name.
There are two categories:
Category 1
For locals living within the borders of Richmond County, all photo submissions must be taken within view of the Hamlet Historic Depot and Museum and must meet the criteria below.
Category 2
For everyone across the USA living outside the borders of Richmond County, all photo submissions must meet the criteria below.

The “likers” of the Hamlet Historic Depot and Museum Facebook page will select the winners. Voting will begin on Monday, May 14 and will end Wednesday, May 16 at midnight.
Winners will be announced on Friday, May 18.
