The biannual Rockingham Civitan Club breakfast got off to a slow start Tuesday morning.
The group reported that plate sales are down, and community members are encouraged to stop by on Wednesday to purchase a plate.
The last day of the breakfast will be Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, in Rockingham, from 6-9 a.m. Plates of grits, toast, bacon, pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee are $7.
The Civitan breakfast fundraisers are the main drivers behind their charitable donations. Proceeds from the breakfasts go to organizations like: Samaritan Colony; Leath Library; Our Daily Bread Food Ministry; Rockingham Soup Kitchen; McLaurin Center; Cordova School and Richmond County Special Olympics.
