Effie Wall, 85, formerly of Rockingham, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, in the Town of Clarendon, Rochester, N.Y.
A funeral will be held on Sunday, April, 29, 2 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Rockingham with Rev. Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham.
There will be a public viewing on Saturday, April 28, from 1 to 7 p.m. at McNeill Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham.
Effie was born July 3, 1927, to the late Julius Johnson and Viola Harrington.
She is survived by six daughters Evelyn Rush, Christine Smith of Rockingham, Laurel Rodriguez, Mary D. Wall, Peggy Bullock of Rochester, N.Y., and Linda Sisson of Holly, N.Y.; two sons, James T. Wall Jr. and Ray Charles Wall of Rochester, N.Y.; one brother, Julius Johnson of Capital Height, Md.;. two sisters, Almetia Howard of Sanford and Annie Johnson of Washington, D.C.; 31 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.
