Viola Mae “Sis” Bryant Wallace passed away at the age of 100 on April 25, 2012 at Peak Resources in Cherryville, NC. She was born March 26, 1912 a daughter of the late, John Clark and Maggie Frye Bryant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, William Wallace; sons, William “Bill” Wallace, Jr. and Lloyd Wayne Wallace.
The deceased known as “MaMa” is survived by one brother, William Bryant (wife Henrietta); two daughters, Doris Steen of Florence, SC and Mildred Jacobs of Aberdeen, NC; two sons, Larry Wallace (wife Janet) of Raytown, MO and Jackie Wallace (wife Pam) of Stanley, NC; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Wallace of Matthews; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted graveside Friday, April 27th at 4:00 pm at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Frank McQuage officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
“MaMa” all of her life was special to so many. This truly was a life that mattered.
