Hamlet Police Department - arrests, complaints for April 20, 2012

The Hamlet Police Department recently arrested Russell Bennett Craig, 50, and Tammy Janett Craig, 40, both of 210 High St., Hamlet, for simple assault. Officers were responding to a call involving a male and female subject when the male subject, Russell, told officers that Tammy allegedly punched him in the face. Tammy then told officers that Russell sprayed her with pepper mace, according to a police report. Both were arrested for assault and no bond was issued.

Other arrests made recently with the Hamlet Police Department include:

• Donald Ray McDonald Jr., 24, 214 Boone St., Rockingham, was arrested for possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle with a controlled substance. He was placed under a secure bond of $3,000.

Toran Ralphaele Simmons, 25, 118 5th St. Ext., Hamlet, was arrested for communicating threats and assaulting a government official. He was placed under a secure bond of $1,000.

Isaah Kelly, 46, 102 Ellen Drive, Hamlet, was arrested for assault on a female. No bond was issued.

• Alexis Sade Gibson, 17, 1606 E. Washington St., Rockingham, was arrested for two counts of injury to personal property and communicating threats. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

• Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Parker Street.

• Misdemeanor larceny was reported at a residence on McDonald Avenue.

• Damage to personal property was reported on a roadway on McDonald Avenue.

• Larceny was reported at a medical facility on Cheraw Road.

• Breaking and entering and felony larceny was reported at a residence on McDonald Avenue.

• Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported in a parking lot on West Hamlet Avenue.

• Obtaining property by false pretenses was reported at a residence on Trestle Street.

• Injury to property was reported at a residence on Jefferson Street.

• Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at a residence on Raleigh Street.

• Sexual assault was reported at a residence on McDonald Avenue.

• Larceny was reported at a residence on Louis Breeden Boulevard.

• Larceny was reported at a residence on Rollins Avenue.

• Larceny and injury to personal property was reported in a parking lot on West Hamlet Avenue.

• Injury to personal property was reported at a parking lot on West Hamlet Avenue.

• Injury to personal property was reported on a roadway at Highway 74 and the CSX overpass.

• Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at a residence on Circlewood Drive.

• Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a business on West Hamlet Avenue.

• Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on Palm Street.

• Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at a residence on Oak Avenue.

• Misdemeanor larceny was reported at a retail establishment on Main Street.

• Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at an apartment complex on Charlotte Street.

• Damage to property was reported at a residence on Hamlet Avenue.
