PEMBROKE — Behind the pitching of Ryan Mercer and the hitting of Jeremy Smith, Richmond Senior blanked Purnell Swett 3-0 in a Southeastern Conference Tuesday night.

Mercer held the Rams to three hits and struck out five in the shutout victory. Smith was 2-for-4 with two runs. Bradley Brown went 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and Austin Brower added a hit and a sacrifice fly.
