Dear Editor,
There are facts everyone should know about Richard Hudson before voting for him. Richard Hudson is running a campaign of mailouts? The representation of him portrayed in the mailouts is not 100% accurate.
One mailout pictures him hunting with Robin Hayes in an attempt to make him the establishment candidate. I don’t know if that will help him in Richmond County because we have had enough of Robin Hayes. The flyer tries to connect him to the local community by calling him the owner of a small marketing group in Cabarrus County.
What they obviously don’t want you to know is this time last year he was in Washington, D.C., where he has been for several years. He and his wife were Chief of staffs for Republican Congressmen. The RNC and Robin Hayes picked him to leave his job as a Congressional Chief of staff and move to the U.S. 8th Congressional district in hopes of getting him elected. His cronies and lobbyists donated heavily to his campaign.
The RNC is doing that all over the nation. They are riding the Tea Party wave and slipping in their own candidates. His mailout campaign makes him look very impressive. But it’s good ole boy politics as usual. The RNC is part of the problem. And in this election of throw the bums out do you really want to install a Washington Insider?
The progress we made last election were the Tea Party freshmen. They wouldn’t vote the way John Boehner wanted them to. So the RNC are trying to elect candidates that will be loyal to them, not us. Is that what you want in your next congressman? A Republican loyalist?

Rockingham Tea Party

is right and isn`t man or woman enough to admit that he was wrong, if he was, in fact wrong, admit it and also admit that this wasn`t his only error, it`s only fair.
I think you need to get your facts right.Robin Hayes was in office when the VA clinic opened. He was the one that cut the ribbon with Mr Ed O'Neil.Larry Kissel has not done anything for the 8th District. If you going to write something research it first,it will make you look like you know what you talking about.
I mispelled Hefner on purpose just to see if any of you misfits would catch it, good job.
I never said that I hated the Tea Party, in fact, I like it a lot, but I also know that radical elements often seek out something like the Tea Party and try to exert influence of their own on it.
The level of resistence against Richard Hudson makes me think that you guys are a little too afraid of him, he must be too tough for you, I better check for myself, he may be the "MAN"
Good night guys, sleep well

And on behalf of all the robots trying to steal your meds in your sleep...
Good night to you too Sir. Sleep well.

Mr. Long: "...show a little respect..."
Sorry, Mr. Long. I guess I'm just one of those "dummies" from your very first disrespectful post, that don't "remember Heavner (SIC)" and apparently likes gospel music as much as you find it a silly and demeaning endeavor.
Good times Sir. Good times. Enjoy.
You are indeed a self-proclaimed idiot.
I don`t what your parents paid for your education but it is quite obvious that they should be given a refund for part of it, did it ever occur to you that Robin Hayes had in fact been working on the V A clinic for a number of years and he got it approved not Mr. Kissell after only 3 months.
By the way, I am a supporter of the Tea-party but also am aware that the Tea-party has attracted a significant number of loose cannons to their ranks, so beware and examine statements made by local Tea-partyers.
How can you criticize Robin Hayes and show so much dis-respect for any elected official, it can only be because you are not well informed about what these people go thru while doing our job, show a little respect even if the guy or lady dosen`t quite meet your expectations.
louis b long et al
This Louis guy is bragging that "Robin Hayes...got us more grant money than all the Democrats combined."
Thanks CHINA!!!
Hudson's people just don't get it any more than Robin HayesBeen.
I`ll take Robin back anytime but I don`t know Richard Hudson but will closely examine his credentials and decide if he is worthy, if not I`ll vote for someone else.
There is too much yellow doging from both partys that needs to go away and vote for the best man or lady for the job, its very important to all of us.
Go in peace,
louis b long, your neighbor
It is amazing isn't it? Kissell takes office in January. Then three month later the VA announces what Hayes promised for ten years, yet you still thank the loser that delayed it all that time.
Stockholm syndrome, sir?
"Department of Veterans Affairs to Open Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Hamlet, N.C.
April 30, 2008"
DURHAM – "The scheduled opening date is May 12, 2008. (Long after cry baby, spineless Hayes has been forgotten and the VA has to finally deal with a real MAN with a backbone that cares about vets.)
"Neighbor," you need to stop while your behind and embarrassing yourself. And by the way, I'd like my hedge clippers back.
This Kissell guy can`t do anything for this county but stay in Fayetteville looking over the BRAC program and also he spent a lot of time working on a bill that allows someone with a seeing-eye dog to carry his dog onto public transportation which, by-the-way is of very little value to Richmond County or chasing some out dated, dead textile return, maybe he should consult with Andy Hillenburg at the race track to see how he got NASCAR to return to Rockingham, might get an idea from him.
Look, wakeup, Democrats have not served us well in almost 60 years that I personally know of and we are in firm control of last place in almost all economic issues and no prospect is on the horizon, quit condemning Republicans, open your eyes and help us get out of the ditch that was dug by Democrats.
Out of the choices that we have in this election any person would be an acceptable replacement for Kissell, maybe we need a Washington insider, who know?, all I know is that we need something different, what we got and have had is not working, why don`t you admit it?
One more thing preacher Russ, the Tea-party is a factor but a small one, there are too many agenda toteing people like yourself involved in the Tea-party to allow them very much in-put.
I love you all, but wake-up and smell the decay, that odor is Richmond County rotting.
louis b long et al
If you seriously consider Robin Hayes the "best congressman we ever had," then that says way more about you than the man who's own Congressional colleagues in Congress voted as one of the "Most Spineless" representatives of all time. Hayes was a blundering embarrassment of a simpering Mama's boy that cried on the House floor when the R Whip made him change his vote on CAFTA screwing us all back home. And he's still shaking his rattle for relevance in the grown-up real world while sucking on that silver spoon.
His boy Hudson is even worse as Hayes' dutiful understudy in impotence... just going along to get along on my dime. No thank you sir. Never again.
I do not agree with all Kissell does by a long shot, but he is at least his own man that had a real job in this actual district with very real needs he actually knows. He may be suitably replaced with one of two real District 8 Republican candidates. Their names are Whitley and Steen. Look them up if you are indeed your own man, and not just another Robin Hayes crony. Please show us the backbone Robin Hayes never did by doing your own research.
Nominate a grown man that lives and works here, literally anybody but Hudson, and you can count on my vote. If Raleigh makes us nominate the empty suit, carpetbagger once again, I will vote Kissell, once again. It's up to you Sir.
I am "flat-out, completely, horizontally opposed" to Richard Hudson representing We The People in D.C.
The only 'people' he's looking out for is Robin HayesBeen, his PAC donors and Richard Hudson.
