Marriage takes sacrifice

Dear Editor,

A lot of people take marriage for granted.

My husband and I have learned, however, not to. We have been married for 17 years and had everything coming against us that would split other couples up. We have had places we lived broken into, vehicles vandalized and sabotaged, he has falsely been accused by people who did not want us together.

Marriage takes sacrifice, compromise with each other, and the willingness to be one and share your whole life with each other. We have two children together, and I have a son he was willing to raise as his own but was unable to because of perversion of minds, and misconceptions by people who would not really get to know him.

We have made mistakes in the past, but we have given our hearts and lives totally to the Lord and trying to move forward while others are trying to keep pushing us backwards.

The reason we have gone through so much is plain and simple, the devil has made people think they are in control of our lives when God has total control.

James and I love each other, and will remain together in spite of vandals, saboteurs, liars, and thieves. As long as we have our children and are together, the material things of this earth no longer matter. God is our provider and protector.
