Jovan Marquail Covington, 25, Garris Street, Cordova, was arrested on a felony charge of larceny of a motor vehicle and on a warrant for arrest for failing to appear in court.
His bond was set at $25,500.
The $10,600 vehicle involved was stolen from a man living on Harrington Road, Rockingham, on Aug. 28, Glidewell said.

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a break-in at a house on Springhill Church Road, Hamlet.
Damage to a window was $200. A handgun valued at $500, which was stolen, has been recovered.
Michael Anthony Murchison II, 19, Ghio Road, Hamlet, was charged with felony breaking, entering and larceny. His bond was set at $10,000.
Dakota Ray Cummings, 18, Ghio Road, was charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. His bond was set at $10,000.

In November 2008, a four-wheel vehicle valued at $6,500 was stolen from a resident on Perry Leviner Road, Rockingham.
Sheriff’s detectives have arrested Shannon Nicole Caulder, 26, Perry Leviner Road, and charged her with felony larceny in connection with the theft of the vehicle.
She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

n Todd Denham, 22, Cumberland Circle, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
n A pack of beer valued at $12.59 was stolen from a store on East Broad Avenue, Rockingham.
n Damage estimated $100 was done to the interior of a residence on Rockingham Road, Rockingham.
n Personal property was stolen from a store on U.S. 74 West, Rockingham. The $10 purse was recovered, but personal cards and $415 were missing.

In Hamlet, police said they are investigating a fire believed set in a suspected case of arson at a house on Louis Breeden Boulevard, Hamlet.
A man told investigators he and his wife were in bed when a smoke alarm sounded in another bedroom about 10:35 p.m.
He found items in the room on fire, which he threw outside before firefighters arrived.
Damage was estimated at $165 to property.
It was believed someone entered the room through a window.
