Brenda C. Hildreth, 64, of Rockingham, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. She was born July 15, 1947 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Edward Lee and Mary Frances Lisbenby Cox.
Mrs. Hildreth was a homemaker and was a member of Lighthouse Ministries Church. She was preceded in death by a sister Linda Sue Cox.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Lighthouse Ministries Church with Rev. Charles Cox and Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving, Her husband, Robert Hildreth, Sr. of Rockingham; Children, Robert “Robbie” Hildreth, Jr. and Lesile Hildreth Smith both of Rockingham; Grandchildren, Edward Hildreth of Laurinburg, Kelly Hildreth, Paul, Dillon, Brandon and Nicholas McCormick all of Rockingham. Sisters, Sally Cooper of Wallace, SC and Edna Sheperd of Virginia Beach, VA; Brothers, Rev. Charles Cox, David Cox, Edward Cox, Everette Cox, Gene Cox all of Wallace, SC and Zeb Cox of Laurel Hill.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet and at other times at her home.
