Myrtle Rogers Turner, 81, of Rockingham, died Feb. 1, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Zeb Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Northam Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home of her son, Jason Turner.
Mrs. Turner was born Nov. 18, 1930, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Jesse and Lula Jerrigan Rogers. She was a housewife and a member of Mt. Moriah Freewill Baptist of Hamlet. She was preceded in death by her husband William Turner.
She is survived by her children, John Turner and wife Judy, Charles Turner and wife Lauren, Raymond Turner and wife Linda, Carol Carpenter and husband Larry, Jason Turner and Vickie Blevins, Ted Turner, Erik Turner and wife Marie; one sister, Lila Mae King; 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
