Mr. John W. “Johnny” Bowman, 71, of 119 Billy Covington Road, Rockingham, died, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Carol Robinson Hospice Center in Fayetteville.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Corey Wilson and Rev. Brooks Gale officiating. Burial will be private.
Mr. Bowman was born in Richmond County, son of John Samuel Bowman and Sarah Ann Lucy Pack Bowman. He retired from the NC Department of Transportation.
Survivors are his daughter, Nicole Bowman of Rockingham; sisters, Stella Floyd of Ellerbe and Anna Belle Wilson of Mt. Gilead; and four grandchildren.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mr. Bowman.
