Norma Branson, 74, of Rockingham, formerly of Winston-Salem, died Dec. 28, 2011, at Duke Hospice at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, N.C.

A service of remembrance will be held at Glenwood United Methodist Church in Rockingham, Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 2 p.m.

The family will receive visitors at the church following the service.

Ms. Branson is preceded in death by her husband Holmes Branson and brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Baucom, Margaret Albright, Robert Thrower, and Reid Thrower.

She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Gardner and partner Jody Hite and Victoria Gardner and partner Patricia Saylor, and their children Cameron Robinson and John Saylor; as well as her brothers and sisters, Lillian Eden, J.C. Thrower, Polly Bond, Ina Haigler and husband Mack, Eleanor McPherson and husband John, Helen Greer, Edward Thrower and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
