Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the Daily Journal and the kind citizens of Richmond County for their overwhelming support for the recent Golf Tournament that was held for our friend Rachelle Bolger. Rachelle Bolger is a 40 year old, single mom of 3 kids that is courageously continuing her battle with Leiomyosarcoma.

The golf tournament was held at Loch Haven Golf Course on November 12 and was a huge success. The staff of the Daily Journal did an awesome job covering the story the week of the tournament with an excellent write-up about Rachelle and the gains she has made on her road to recovery and also the difficult road that still remains ahead of her as she continues her fight.

I was overwhelmed with the response that I received from the public from reading her article in the paper and the kind citizens of this county that wanted to assist my friend in her battle. Thank you all so much for your kindness, it means so much.

A wise man named Marshall Norris once told me that with your hands closed, God can’t give you anything, but once you open your hand to reach out and give, that’s when God is able to give back to you.

Thanks to everyone that gave, assisted and to those that are whispering prayers for Rachelle everyday.
