Man loses pants in robbery

A man lost his pants and other items in a robbery at a store on County Home Road, Rockingham, said Capt. J.K. Glidewell, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

A fight took place in the parking lot of the store Wednesday between a suspect and the victim with the suspect taking shoes, jeans, a cell phone, wallet and cash belonging to the victim.

The loss to the victim was $375.

n At a house on Mill Road, Rockingham, someone did $100 damage to a window.

n At a house on Hickory Street, Rockingham, someone did $200 damage to the house.

Arrests by the Rockingham Police Department include:

n Ebony Denise Williams, 25, Palisades, was arrested on two misdemeanor counts of contributing to a delinquent. She was released on a written promise to appear in court. Police said charges involved vodka being made available to a 10-year-old and a 13-year-old child.

n Mamie Ingram, 48, South Stewart Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

n Bennie Hubert Mauldin Sr., 41, Cabel Drive, Rockingham was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of failing to appear in court on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,000.

n George Albert McKeithan, 45, Park Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of violation of a court order and communicating threats. He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.

Incidents reported to Rockingham police include:

n A container of beer valued at $1.27 was stolen from a store on East Broad Avenue, Rockingham.

n Someone broke into a vehicle parked at a residence on Juniper Street, Rockingham, and stole $130 worth of property and bank cards.

n Steaks valued at $62.61 were stolen from a store at Falling Creek Plaza Shopping Center, Rockingham.

n At a business on South Long Drive, Rockingham, someone broke into a vehicle doing $150 damage and stole $2,230 worth of property and bank cards.

Arrests at the Hamlet Police Department include:

n Michael Prince Bullard, 25, Boyd Lake Road, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of larceny. Bond was set at $500.

n Tarnisha Nemone Green, 29, Quail Hollow Drive, Hamlet, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of no operator’s license and a window tint violation. Bond was set at $500.

n Brandon Gehmay Covington, 21, Pine Street, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. Bond was set at $500.

n Chastity Michelle McKenna, 32, Beeler Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

n Deborah Pittman, 54, Monroe Avenue, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of worthless check.

n Derrick Jermaine Wall, 22, Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear in court on three probation violation charges, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest and assault on a female.

Incidents reported to Hamlet Police include:

n Police on patrol discovered someone had broken a window of a business on Raleigh Street, Hamlet, causing $1,000 damage. A few days earlier, someone broke a cement flower pot causing $100 damage.

n Someone stole a pocketbook out of a vehicle parked in a lot on Spring Street, Hamlet. Police found it later in the woods nearby recovering the $65 purse and $200 worth of makeup inside.

n A muffler valued at $300 was cut off a car parked at a church on West Avenue, Hamlet.

n At a house on Rice Street, Hamlet, someone stole a ring valued at $5,000 and $10,000 in $100 bills.

n At a house on Champlain Street, Hamlet, someone did $250 damage to two doors.
