Dear Editor,

In Ecclesiastes 3, we are told there is a season for everything: a time to be born, for I was blessed to be the mother of “Big” John Leviner, and a time to die, as he was taken so unexpectedly, which led me to a season of grief.

It was during this season that I discovered a time to tear and a time to mend, led on by the honoring of his memory through your overwhelming outpours of love via the web, Facebook, calls, personal visits, food, and most importantly, prayers.

In this time of quietness, I draw comfort in knowing the legacy he has left behind, and it is now the season to speak that I give thanks unto God for each moment of kindness, love, and honor that has been bestowed upon myself and family by all of you that shared how you had been touched by the heart of “Big” John Leviner.

I give thanks unto God for you all as you carry his legacy on by your continuous remembrance to stop and make a difference in the life of another.
