Mr. James Mitchel “Mickey” Brigman,63, of 101 Hamilton Ave., Hamlet, died, Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

The funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Rainwater officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Harrington Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times the family will meet at his sister’s home 5206 Ballast Ridge Road, Wallace, S.C.

Mickey was born in Hamlet, Sept. 3, 1948, son of Boyd Brigman and Phoebe Hatcher Brigman. He previously worked at Hood packaging Co. and was a veteran of U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his late birth parents; his mother, Mary Hatcher; and a brother, Larry Brigman.

Survivors include his father, Rev. Jerry Hatcher of Wallace, S.C.; and sisters, Betty Knox of High Point, Vivian Gathings, Darlene Lovelace and Kathy McLain all of Wallace, S.C.
