Robert Earl Lampley, 71, of Rockingham, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Rockingham Manor in Rockingham.

Mr. Lampley was born May 19, 1940, in Richmond County, a son of the late John and Julia Webb Lampley. He was a member of Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, had served in the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver with APAC.

Surviving are his brothers, Edward Lampley and Odom Lampley, both of Rockingham; and his sister, Peggy Clarke of Rockingham.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Michael Price officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will see friends immediately following the service at the church.
