Mr. Sanders Thomas “Tom” Ingram Jr., 81, formerly of Richmond County, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011, in his home in Newnan, Ga.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, in the Community Church with Pastor Robby Stewart officiating. Internment will follow in Norman Cemetery.
Tom was born in Charlotte on Dec. 3, 1929, to the late Sanders T. and Ida Mae Jolly Ingram. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Viola Greene Ingram, a son, Tony Marvin Ingram, a brother, John Ingram, and a sister, Eva Mae Rhyne.
He is survived by a son, Randy Ingram of Newnan, Ga; two daughters, Regina Amell and Tamie Schumann both of Newnan, Ga; a brother, Jack Ingram of Ellerbe; three sisters, Evelyn Avant of Rockingham, Arlene Champney of Winston-Salem, Lillian Stafford of Raleigh; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Community Church, and other times at the home of granddaughter Toni Maples, Roberdel School Road.
