It’s socialism you fools

Dear Editor,

The Democrats are pondering why the economy is failing. I think they know very well why. When they did their backroom deal on socialized medicine (Obama Care), they stopped all job growth right then. They have to know what they have done. Business people will not hire or expand their business because of the added cost (very high). They are more likely to lay off people to protect their business. That fact will not change until Obama is voted out. Then and only then will America turn around. The question I have is can America last one and a half more years? If it can last then Obama-Care can and will be repealed. Then maybe we can buy health insurance across state lines (have competition). America has to go back to capitalism. Where on this planet has Socialism worked?

If the country is going in the toilet, then president Bush is the one who pulled the handle.

Now we have the "tea party" who through their stupidity have caused our country to lose its credit rating. We do need to take our country back from the republicans and tea party wingnuts.

Wait, I thought it was tax breaks for the wealthy was all that was needed to produce jobs. We gave them the tax breaks, but everyone is still waiting on the jobs.

Now, we find out it was not the tax breaks they needed but rather we need to repeal (Obama-Care) something that has hardly kicked in.

I think someone is trying to confuse us.

What short term memory some people have. The "Great Recession" began in late 2007, and the Wall (Street) came tumbling down in Oct. 2008. Obama did not take office until 2009. So do we REALLY want to vote him out and turn the White House back over to the GOP, who got us into this mess in the first place? ...with the huge expense of the unfounded war in Iraq, and the deregulation on Wall Street under "Reaganomics", which allowed the mortgage bankers to play so loosely and recklessly in order to collect their HUGE bonuses. Is this the capitalism the writer yearns for? Something needed to be done about the outrageous costs of medical care. The GOP in the 12 years of the Bush administrations did absolutely nothing to slow down the Medical costs run-a-way train. Give "ObamaCare" a chance. FDR's Social Security worked out pretty well (despite all the misrepresentations about the Gov. switching Soc.Sec. dollars to the General Fund).

The nation is one of gluttony. Look around and you will see proof of excess...obesity, material possessions, waste of resources and money. Citizens have been paying for uninsured people for many years by incurring higher medical costs to offset losses in medical payments. The current healthcare program equalizes the impact. It has taken years of excess spending to get the economy where it is today. We need to accept responsibility and adopt changes that will benefit future generations. The new mentality is "I deserve....I want..." and seems to be a self-absorbing philosophy rather than frugality and common sense. It is easy to point the finger at those in government when in reality, all people are responsible. It has nothing to do with choices in political parties, and everything to do with personal choices.

Obama is a Socialist - I watches a video of him declaring that that the day of capitalism is over. When he ran for president that video disappeared quickly.

Capitalism is the fairest economic system that exists. It made America the most successful nation in the world. The more Socialism is forced on America, the worse our economy gets. Obama has proved to the world that Socialism doesn't work.
