Mark Stephen Jones, 57, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home. He was born May 9, 1954 in Guilford County, a son of Bobbie Ann Scholl and the late Joe Jones. Steve worked in construction as a carpenter and painter.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating.
Surviving are his mother, Bobbie Ann Scholl and her husband, Paul V. Scholl Jr. of Rockingham; a son, Matthew Steven Jones of Fries, Va.; a grandson, Matthew Tyler Jones; three brothers, Ricky Evans Jones of Ocracoke Island, Joey Jones of Rockingham, and Jeff R. Jones of Asheboro; and a sister, Wendy Ann Jones of Rockingham.
