The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for our area and surrounding counties.
A front will approach the mountains from the northwest today and tonight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of the front this afternoon and persist through the evening. Isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible, with a primary threat of damaging winds. Due to a very moist atmosphere and relatively slow storm motion locally heavy rainfall and isolated flash flooding will also be possible. The threat for severe weather will be greatest between 3 pm this afternoon and midnight tonight.
