Dr. Alesha Jamel Thomas of Hope Mills, formerly of Hamlet, and Thomas Reid Covington of Hope Mills announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride elect is the daughter of Hugene Thomas of Hamlet and Imogene Patrick Thomas, also of Hamlet. She is a 2003 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy. She works as a pharmacist in Fayetteville.
The groom elect is the son of Thomas and Sherry Covington of Fayetteville. He is a 2004 graduate of 71st High School in Fayetteville and a 2010 graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He works as an electrical engineer in Fayetteville.
Their wedding is planned for July 2, 2011, at new Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hamlet with a reception to follow at the Cole Auditorium on the campus of RCC.
