As a former teacher at the school, I beamed with pride after viewing all of the projects and listening to four students’ presentations. It was quite obvious that they had spent numerous hours on their topics and were well prepared. But I also want to showcase all the hard work, time and effort provided by the administration, faculty and staff of the school.
Alot of love and nurturing go hand and hand with student instruction, not only through this process, but on an everyday basis. Our students certainly have the means to do well and succeed, but it is the motivation and care provided by these men and women who help guide our children in the right direction.
We should be proud to have a school like Richmond for our children to attend as it has become well known all over the state for our academics as well as athletics. I encourage readers to volunteer next spring to serve on a panel and to see for yourselves the types of instruction and learning taking place. I also hope that the administration and staff will find a way to share with students in the lower grades the finished products.
I think in the future this would help to guide these children in choosing their topics and help to ease students’ anxiety over the requirement. My congratulations to the students as well as Principal Cory Satterfield, Project coordinator Sharon Johnson and all the faculty and staff for a job well done!
