Ollie’s Bargain Outlet will open its doors on Wednesday and to help the chain kick off the event NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler will be on hand to greet the first 250 fans.

“Racing fans and bargain shoppers should arrive early to ensure a chance to meet Sadler,” said Mark Butler, President and CEO of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.

Beginning at 7:30 a.m., 250 tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. The store will officially open at 10 a.m., and race fans will have the chance to meet Sadler, get his autograph and have their picture taken with the driver of the No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Impala, after the grand opening ceremony.

“We have a wonderful tradition of celebrating many of our grand openings with some of NASCAR’s top drivers, and this is the first time we’ll have Elliott join us,” said Butler. It’s something we’ve been looking forward to, and I’m sure Rockingham race fans are too!”

Ollie’s is the Mid-Atlantic’s largest retailer of closeout, surplus, and salvage merchandise. The chain’s newest store is set to open in the old Walmart building, at 1788 East Broad Ave., Rockingham.

“Meeting fans is always exciting,” said Sadler. “I’m looking forward to helping Ollie’s celebrate their grand opening and spending some time meeting fans in the heart of NASCAR country.”
