Jeff was born December 1, 1970 in Richmond County. He was an Emergency Services Instructor for Brunswick Community College; he volunteered with the Shallotte VRS and Calabash EMS for several years.
Surviving are his father Charles Daniel Barber, Sr., of Angier, and his mother Brenda Wilson Hefner of Hickory; his wife Victoria “Vicki” Bowman Barber; a son Nicholas Barber; a brother Charles D. Barber, Jr. of Livania, MI; maternal grandfather Thomas G. Wilson of Hamlet; and paternal grandmother Margaret Barber of Rockingham.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel by The Chaplain Ron Lewis.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the State Employees Credit Union, Victoria Barber, FBO Nicholas Barber, PO Box 306, Shallotte, NC 28459.
