Dear Editor,
Here is some knowledge I have uncovered over the last several years in my studies of Scriptures. I began to approach my study of Scriptures as a fact-finding, truth-finding research of “all” Scripture which most of us have never done before. I wanted to know all I could learn about our Creator and His Son, our Messiah, and His Word. The bible has been translated over a thousand times. The words mistranslated or miss-translated comes to mind (Deut. 4:1-2). His word has been added to and taken away from at least that many times.
Honestly, there is no “infallible” word. Inspired but not “infallible.” The scribes who meticulously recorded the Torah and the Prophets (what we mistakenly call the Old Testament; more on this in another letter) even made some errors as scrolls were re-copied as they wore out and the times when they were not allowed to use His Name because it was believed to be to sacred to use. His Name was still given almost seven thousand times. The area in which they were most accurate was in the recording of His Name and His Son’s Name (Proverbs 30:4). Who made all these changes? Man did, of course! But who is really responsible? HaShatan, AKA Satan, the devil, bealzebub, adversary, angel (KJV) or messenger of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). Daniel 12:3-4 “…But you, Dani’el, hide the words, and seal the book until the time of the end.
Many shall diligently search and knowledge shall increase.” Not only has technology increased but knowledge of Scripture as well. Understanding is now being revealed to those who truly seek understanding. Understanding only comes through intense study and the guidance of the set-apart Spirit.
