Mrs. Martha “Florence” Webb, 87, 411 Charlotte St., Hamlet, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Richmond Pines Nursing Home in Hamlet.

She was born April 11, 1924, in Richmond County, daughter of Delmar Thomas Webb and Esther Mae Layton Webb.

She was a member of Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church and worked previously at Aleo Mill as a weaver.

Visitation will be at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011, at Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church, one hour prior to the memorial service which will began at 5 p.m. with Rev. Zeb Jones, Rev. Thad Pearson and Rev. Lloyd O. Grant Jr. officiating.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Edward Fletcher Kelly; daughters, Myrtice Lee Moritz and Ida Mae Smith; brothers, John Milton Webb, Delmer T. Webb Jr. and Charles Ray Webb; and sisters, Louise W. Rowland, Elaine Arnette and Dorothy Lee Webb.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Kelly Simmons of Hamlet; son, Bill McClean of Bennettsville, S.C.; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mrs. Webb.

Granny, you were one of a kind, although our hearts ache for your passing we know that you have been on your journey home for some time now. Tell Aunt Myrtice and Aunt Ida Mae that we love them, miss them and will see all them soon. Oh and give Shepard (Lisa) Jimmy Shane and all your sisters and brothers a hug for us. P.S. don't stay up too late and don't be a Jesus Hog give him a break Flossy I know how much you have been looking forward to seeing him. Love Paul DeBerry
