The spring of 2011 has seen an unusually fine display of flowering dogwood and this beautiful white tree is one of Hamlet’s finest. Chosen by the Hamlet Tree and Beautification Group as the April Tree of the Month, it is located on James Avenue Extension at the home of Richard and Gerda Pait. Dogwood is the state flower for North Carolina. Pictured with the tree is Gerda Pait.
