Chamber accepting nominations for business of year

The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce will recognize a member of the Chamber as “Business of the Year” at the Chamber’s Annual Business Expo. “We are looking for enterprising owners and businesses whose innovative approach to business deserves special recognition,” stated Chamber President, Emily Tucker.

The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for the “Business of the Year” award. The candidate must be a member of the Chamber in good standing and must have been a member of the Chamber for 1 year or more. The candidate will be judged upon their innovations in marketing, employee relations, customer development, technology, distribution and competitive advantage. The candidate will also be judged upon their response to adversity. The last criteria will be the candidate’s involvement in their community. .

A selection committee will choose the winner and the award will be announced at the luncheon on April 20th at the Cole Auditorium. All businesses and governmental institutions in Richmond County are invited to make nominations whether or not they are members of the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce.
