A band of showers will move across the area, moving east at 35 mph.
Hazards include gusty winds of 30 mph capable of knocking down small trees and blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture and other light outdoor objects.
According to the National Weather Service, Skywarn spotter activation will likely be needed through this evening. Spotters should report severe weather as soon as it is safe to do so.
