Juanita Chance Snead, 82, of Aberdeen Road died Thursday, February 24, at her home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky Snead and wife, Dinah and Keith Snead and friend, Myra of Laurinburg; a daughter, Cindy Snead and friend, Tony of Laurinburg; five grandchildren, Chris Snead and wife, April of Laurinburg, Melissa McGirt and husband, Michael of Laurinburg, Stephen Jenkins and friend, Tara of Laurel Hill, Cassie Jenkins of Laurinburg, and Erin Snead and friend, Logan of Laurinburg; three great grandchildren, Miller Snead, Kambre Jenkins, and Ayden McGirt. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Allen Chance, Elsie Chance, Maxine Ingle, and Pauline Hicks.

Born August 26, 1928 in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Alice Russell Chance and widow of the late Edwin “Buddy” Snead. She was a long time employee of Planters Gin and Snead Farms. Juanita also loved sewing and cooking.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
