NEW DIGGS CHAPEL AME ZION CHURCH, Mizpah Road, Rockingham, will celebrate a two day Family and Friends Day celebration Feb. 12 -13. Saturday events begin at 10:30. 1:30 p.m. talent show, 2:30 p.m. family BBQ. Sunday events begin with 11 a.m. morning message by Rev. Carol Turner, host pastor. Lunch at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Rev. FLETCHER’S CHAPEL will hold its annual Black History program on Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. Special guest will be Rev. Rose Highland Sharpe sharing storytelling from Africa to America: the roots of the music we sing. Other guest singers and praise dancers will attend. Host pastor is Rev. Charles Bethea. Program is sponsored by Jackie Sloan. Everyone is asked to wear African Attire.
