A. D. Bill McRae Sr.,93, of 112 Samantha Drive in Hamlet, died on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Richmond County Hospice in Rockingham. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Fletcher Grove Baptist Church in Laurinburg. Rev. Dorothy Anderson officiating burial will follow at Matthews Chapel Church Cemetery in Laurinburg.
He is survived by four sons, Ernest McRae, A.D. McRae Jr., Roosevelt McRae all of Hamlet, and Bill Simms of Laurinburg; and four daughters, Queen Robinson, Annie Morrison, and Willa Robinson all of Hamlet, and Nora McRae of Bennettsville, S.C.
McPhatter Funeral Home of Laurel Hill is serving the family.
