Nicki Parker, of Cordova, honored her daughter, Alexis Denise Gibson, with a birthday party at Pizza Hut on January 8. Alexis was four years old on January 5. Barbie was used as the party theme, and guests enjoyed pizza, salad, hot wings and cake. Helping Alexis celebrate was her brother, Caleb Gibson, great-grandparents Thomas and Tiny Parker, of Cordova, grandparents Mike and Ophelia Metropol, also of Cordova, great-uncle Bo and Aunt Connie Parker, Jim McDonald, Ted Lathan, Mrs. C. Lathan, Moniqua, Edgerrin, Jadan and Tania Starnes, Moe Smith, Ann McDonald, Chris McFadden and Jeff Mohn. Sending gifts, but unable to attend, was Rosie, Kairi and Kimahri Smith, Peggy McDonald and Mr. James McDonald, Sr.
